After facing these problems the scientist develop new functional Electrolytes. These electrolytes form a protection layer on the surface which give good impact, also increased the efficiency of lithium battery. Still there are some disadvantaged, it is not effective to prevent severe side reaction. Now Scientist did improvement in lithium metal and electrolytes by designing the electrolytes which provides upshifted oxidation and reduction potential of lithium metal. This helps to prevent reaction activities of lithium metal thermodynamically. That’s why increase potential of lithium metal battery. It achieve better performance of battery. The researcher said that when upshift the oxidation and reduction potential of lithium metal in specific electrolyte system. It coulde decrease the thermodynamicthermodynamic driven force which reduce the electrolyte, then show the higher Coulombic efficiency. This method used to developing battery with lithium metal. Teams studies the oxidation and reduction potential of lithium metal in 74 types of electrolyte. Researchers develop one compound which is known as Ferrocene which is found in all electrolyte.
